Gail Gannon is a Managing Director at Mavericks Capital and Founder CEO at Ensanté. Since 2006, Gail’s goal has been finding better ways to deploy technology and people to redesign healthcare and improve health outcomes—for example, reducing bottlenecks in operating rooms, clinics, intensive care units, and emergency departments, and moving accessible patient records on demand from vision to reality. Having started her career in high-stress clinical settings as a respiratory therapy manager, Gail understands the healthcare system from the inside out. She worked with health care providers such as Sutter, Stanford and the University of California, San Francisco.
Gail also works with promising startups, taking entrepreneurs with high potential ideas in hand and guiding them all the way to market. For example, in Q2 2017, two companies she advised (Ciel Medical and Neural ID) experienced a liquidity event. She helps founders understand and find customers who could benefit most from their technology, and then explain the benefits of their technology to those customers.
Gail is often found at conferences with healthcare industry leaders and the Silicon Valley investor community, leading panels and making informal introductions.
Gail received her Masters in Social and Behavior Sciences from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and earned a Biotechnology Certificate with Honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
