Dave Lipson is a CPA and lawyer by background having received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from DePaul University.
Dave spent 25 years with Arthur Andersen, LLP, in Chicago and Western Europe, rising to the position of managing partner for international services and serving as a member of the Board of Partners of the firm. Following Andersen, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and was elected to the Board of Directors at Beatrice Companies, a major food and consumer conglomerate at the time, based in Chicago. He then founded Knightsbridge Capital Corporation, a merchant banking organization. The buyout business focused on profitable companies in manufacturing and consumer businesses and consummated several successful acquisitions and subsequent sales.
In 1997, Dave and his family purchased the land that is presently The Resort at Paws Up in western Montana. Paws Up is one of Montana’s first luxury glamping resorts. Steeped in the history of Lewis and Clark and encompassing 37,000 sprawling acres of untamed Montana wilderness, Paws Up is situated along a 10 mile stretch of the legendary Blackfoot River “A River Runs Through It” - providing guests with an authentic backdrop for unique and exhilarating experience of the unspoiled American West. Paws Up has been awarded USA Today’s Best Family Hotel for 2016, Trip Advisor Hall of Fame, Sunset Magazine’s #1 Glamping destination in America, to name a few.
Dave is the Chief Executive for the family businesses and a Director of Paws Up Foundation.
